Plot:
This is England is a film about a young boy growing up in England. His dad died in the Falklands war. He has a bit of a troubled life and seems to be somewhat of a social recluse. He finally finds a place where he fits in and this is with a bunch of non-racist skinheads.
The movie is based on the experience of the director growing up.

Much of the film was shot in predominantly residential areas of Nottingham, including St Ann's, Lenton and The Meadows, with one section featuring abandoned houses at the former airbase RAF Newton, just outside of Bingham, Nottinghamshire.[
