Sound track

Sound track
For our opening credits we as a group have decided a track called ‘Eerie Angel’. This song I believe has the perfect style for the beginning of a horror thriller. It is eerie and seems to me a good tension builder; it will be perfect as it gets the adrenaline pumping before the movie has even started.
Our opening scene is going to be 100% digetic sound hopefully, (altough we are thinking of possibly putting in some non-digetic sounds for example a heartbeat), I think this is a good idea as it will really give the viewer a feel of what it will be like to be in our main characters shoes.
For the scene where the main character wakes up we have decided to go with a song entitled ‘If Only You Knew’ this song is very calming and cheerful. I feel that this will work for the so called morning sequence because it is cheery and uplifting, and I think this will connote a new day a new start. Also the first scene may have the same music from the opening credits, this is becuase it would link in well and also becuase the song 'Eerie angel' seems like it would be a good tension builder.
Results of Questions areas for thriller research
Chart: 1
What is you favourite aspect of a thriller film?
From the result we can tell that when making our opening to our film we are going to have to pay particular attention to the music we use, as it seems that it is one of the most important things in a thriller movie.
Chart: 2
What type of thriller do people prefer?
From the results it seems that that most popular type of thriller film is indeed a Horror one, this is good as we planned to make a Horror thriller for our opening film sequence.

Graphs 3-6
We then asked what characters they would associate with these colours: Green, Red, White and Green.
Here is the graph for the results on the colour Black.
Well that was a very conclusive graph as everyone we asked associated the colour black with a bad guy. We remember this when we are thinking u p a bad character.
Here is the graph for the results on the colour red.
This graph suggests that the colour red should represent something bad or evil in our opening to our film, since every result as something to do with bad or evil aspects.

Here is the graph for the results on the colour white.
As you can see the majority of the people we asked believed the colour white should represent a good guy, a very small percentage suggest that maybe the colour white should represent a innocent character.
Here is the graph for the results on the colour green.
From the graph we can tell that there is a divided opinion for the colour green, but from that graph it seems that green should represent a good guy.

Character profiles for media thriller film

Characters:

Jessica Bradshaw:
Jessica’s family used to live in the city. About a year prior the when the film is beings set her family moved to this lovely country house, this seemed very odd to Jessica as they were very settled in the City but her parents have insisted that they only moved to start a new life with the ‘friendly’ people in the county, still Jessica has slightly resented her parents ever since the move. Living in the country has not worked for her as thus far, it is just a far cry from her city life style. Other kids at her new school have never taken a great shining to her; this in itself does not bother her it is more the fact that they have never given her the chance.

Jessica is a girl who is used to getting what she wants, she is a likable characters, and is quite she will not be intimidated and will not fall in to peer pressure, so basically a typical teenage girl, sure of herself likable and not afraid to put her opinions.

Hooded figure without a name (the bad guy):
The so called hooded figure is a very shady and mysterious character; we meet him early on in the film while he is what looks like following Jessica.

Little is know about this man, but rumours have been spreading around that they are a group that has lived in the area around the house for generations; some say they are called The Cult of The Black Crow. Many people say that the stories surrounding this group of people are not true, but this man would like to prove otherwise…

Martin and Molly Bradshaw
Martin and Molly Bradshaw are the parents of Jessica. The two of the were both born and raised in London. They met in London and lived in a city of some description for the majority for the life, but when they saw that a lovely country house was for sale they could not resist, although this seems to have caused a few problems with their daughter.
